Lost in translation, daily

TTL 32

Good Morfternight friends,

Let’s settle the time travel debate once and for all.

YES — time travel is absolutely possible.

In fact, it’s inevitable.

We all do it, every day, at exactly 60 minutes per hour. 🕰️

What we CAN’T do (yet?) is change speed or direction when moving through time.

(Got you!)

I use this line a lot—not to make a sci-fi point, but a communication one.

Because technically, we’re all time travelers. But culturally, when someone says “time travel,” they mean wormholes, paradoxes and, for many, DeLoreans.

Same words. Very different pictures in our heads.

And that’s exactly the trap we fall into in so many conversations: we assume we’re aligned because we’re using the same language.

But alignment doesn’t come from shared vocabulary. It comes from shared understanding.

So yes—time travel is possible. But mutual understanding? Way harder.

That’s it for today, see you next week.
